The demand for interpreters is growing rapidly. As a student in the American Sign Language-English Interpretation program, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with a professional interpreter in a college, school or community setting during a practicum that provides you with real-world experience as an interpreter.

As a graduate of the program, you will be prepared to work as an entry-level interpreter in a variety of places and situations.

Many interpreters are self-employed and work in private practice. Private-practice interpreters handle all aspects of their business, such as scheduling and billing, and they also receive assignments through interpreter service agencies.
