- Direct the daily operation of the NTID Dyer Arts Center, including opening and closing,
maintaining the facility and its supplies.
- Manage the exhibits in the Dyer Arts Center which are planned on an annual basis for the
next academic year. Interested artists submit requests for shows and are selected after a review of their work.
Priority is given to Deaf artists, artists associated with RIT, and then other artists. This team works with the
artists on all details including installation of exhibits, publicity, receptions, labeling, lighting, etc.
Artists are responsible for the costs of their exhibition.
- Maintain NTID’s permanent collection of artwork and endeavor to acquire new work annually.
- Schedule NTID space for meetings, workshops, open houses and special events.
- Manage room setups for meeting and event use.
- Process FMS Project Requests as needed to support scheduled meetings and events.
- Maintain database of all space use in Buildings 55 and 60.
- Provide advice and counsel to other units of NTID related to catering and special event set-ups.
- Act as liaison with external caterers and RIT Facilities Management Services for specific events sponsored
by the RIT Vice President and Dean for NTID.
- Assist the Office of the RIT Vice President and Dean for NTID with Commencement planning and other
assigned special projects such as special ceremonies and events with large community impact.
- Assist with conferences, workshops and seminars sponsored by NTID departments.
- Provide counsel and support to College Operations facilities management and enhancement.
