Marc Marschark, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Research at NTID and in the Psychology Department at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He is the editor of the Journal of Deaf Studies and Deaf Education and co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Deaf Studies, Language, and Education. He co-edits the new Perspectives on Deafness series from Oxford University Press (with Patricia Spencer). Most of his research concerns relations between language and learning, with a special emphasis on linguistic and nonlinguistic components of language comprehension. An interpreter wanna-be, he was unable to complete the NTID interpreter education program due to bad arms. "Those who can do, those who can't do research!"
