Marc
Marschark, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Research
at NTID and in the Psychology Department at the University of
Aberdeen, Scotland. He is the editor of the Journal of Deaf Studies
and Deaf Education and co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of
Deaf Studies, Language, and Education. He co-edits the new Perspectives on Deafness series from Oxford University Press (with Patricia Spencer). Most of his research
concerns relations between language and learning, with a special
emphasis on linguistic and nonlinguistic components of language
comprehension. An interpreter wanna-be, he was unable to complete
the NTID interpreter education program due to bad arms. "Those
