NTIDAA welcomes new leaders

On July 1, 2009, Erin Esposito, ‘96, ‘01 began her two-year term as Chair of the NTID Alumni Association Board of Directors. Esposito’s active participation and positive attitude during her two years as Vice Chair helped make NTIDAA successful. Esposito has served as NTID Alumni Relations Director and is part of NTID’s Student Life Team. She replaces past chair Carmen Sciandra, SVP ‘71, ‘74.

Also elected to the NTIDAA board executive committee were Vice Chair Howard Mann, ‘74, ‘84, and Secretary Angie Officer, SVP ‘83, ‘88. Mann, a former NTID Alumni Relations Director, has served the NTIDAA in various, roles including two terms as Secretary. Officer was one of NTIDAA’s founders. Mann and Officer began their two-year terms with NTIDAA on July 1.

“The NTIDAA board is grateful to out-going Chair Carmen Sciandra for his enthusiasm and optimistic attitude, which helped produce many successful events,” says NTID Alumni Relations Director Matthew Driscoll. “Terrance Cantrell, ‘00, who served as Secretary, also has been very valuable to the Alumni Association, and we thank him for his many contributions.

“On behalf of the NTIDAA board and all of our alumni, I am pleased to welcome Erin, Howard and Angie to their new positions and wish them great success in leading the NTID Alumni Association.”

  1. I want to congratulate each of you on serving on NTIDAA. I trust that you will do great with everyone. As a former President of NTIDAA, I enjoyed making direct contacts with the alumni. I believe that the alumni will appreciate your time and contributions to help our NTIDAA get stronger. Good Luck with your new endeavors and NTIDAA.

  5. With you serving as officers, NTIDAA will continue climbing to fame. As Linda Nelson said (I was a former VP under Nelson Administration), we also had a excellent relationship with the NTID Alumni Relations staff. Keep it up, guys!
