How do I register? 
There are two ways to register. One is to fill out the registration form which can be found inserted in the NTID’s AlumniNews Spring 2008 issue. The other way is to register via the online registration which will be available soon.

Where can I stay during reunion weekend?
You have several options for overnight accommodations. You have the option to stay on campus in the dorms, or to make reservations at a local hotel. Either way, we strongly suggest you make your reservations early for best selection!

Will there be activities for my children?
You bet! Activities for children ages 5-16 will be provided through Margaret’s House on campus. Age-appropriate activities are being planned to ensure that everyone enjoys their reunion experience. Get information and child care registration forms. PLEASE NOTE: CHILD CARE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OF AGE. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

Where can we eat during reunion weekend?
You’ll be able to enjoy meals on campus at The Commons, located in the beautiful new CSD Student Development Center. The Commons serves an a la carte menu. You can also take advantage of the numerous off-campus eateries nearby.

Where do I park?
Reunion attendees are encouraged to park in campus parking lots “B” (especially oversized vehicles), “K” and “L”.

I’ve always wanted to join the NTID Alumni Association. How can I make that happen?
We’d love to have you join us! There will be an NTIDAA meeting from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 (location TBA) where you can learn more.

Will there be golf?
Of course! The 9th Annual NTID Alumni Golf Tournament will b held on Thursday, June 26 at Wild Wood Country Club in nearby Rush.

I belonged to a lot of clubs during my time on campus. Any chance of getting together with others from these groups?
Absolutely! A list of Special Interest Group meetings is located on our website. If you don’t see your group listed, contact Donna Tuffner, SVP ’88, ’94, at 585-475-6329 TTY/VP or email dmtnod@rit.edu to set up a group gathering!

Can a microwave or a small-sized refrigerator be allowed in the dorm room?
Microwaves are not permitted within residence halls rooms. Each floor in the residence halls has a kitchenette that includes a microwave and sink for guest use. Mini refrigerators 5 cubic feet or smaller are permitted in the rooms.

Are smoking and alcoholic beverages permitted in the dorm room?
The consumption, possession or evidence of alcoholic beverages including empty alcohol containers is prohibited in all RIT residence halls, regardless of resident/guest’s age or circumstances.

Smoking is prohibited in RIT housing, residential quads and within 25 feet of any residential building. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside.

What kind of dorm rooms are available? Are they suites or individual rooms?
Double rooms (containing two sets of furniture) and single rooms (containing one set of furniture) will be available to guests. Each room contains a bed with mattress (no linen is provided), desk, chair, dresser, and closet. Both individual and suite style rooms will be available. Suite style rooms are 2-3 double rooms that share a common entryway area.

What are the check-in and check-out times for on-campus residence halls (dorms)?
Check-in times:

  • Thursday, June 26, 2008 10am – 4pm and 8pm – 10pm in the CSD Student Development Center
  • Friday, June 27, 2008 10 am – 4pm and 8pm – 10pm in the CSD Student Development Center

Check-out times:

  • Sunday from 7am – 12pm in the SDC.
