A Long Rested Weekend

Hi blog reader!

I had a restful weekend. I was invited to a spa to celebrate my friend’s birthday. She’s one of our ambassadors, too. Try to guess who it is! I’ll give you a hint…she  might write a blog about her birthday. I also had a chance to go out and hang out with my friends and did some fall photo shoots right before my second job shift started. It was so much fun and nice to be away from campus. During the photo shoot, I saw a cute little black pug wagging its tail and hanging out its tongue while walking on the colorful fallen leaves on the ground. I got to pet it and it was a nice feeling to pet the dog. I also did some cleaning at my apartment. It’s so nice when a house is clean because then you can do many things during the week instead of cleaning.

For school, I had to communicate to my professors that I will have to go back to California in two weeks to get my wisdom teeth taken out. It’s really important to let your professors know about an absence early to start planning about what work you may miss and how to make it up. I don’t like to miss school, even if it’s a health issue, but it is also important to take care of your health. You also need to plan ahead to get the best price on purchasing the plane ticket.

In class this week, the topic I learned about was the difference between the terms alkene and alkyne. Alkene has double bond with carbons at the end of the bond. Alkyne is triple bonds with carbons at the end of the bonds. It looks like this: C=C for Alkene, but I can’t figure out how to make a triple line on my laptop keypad for triple bond. You kind of get it, right? If not, ask anyone in the chemistry field and they will show you what it is.

Have a great day!
