Greeting from Massachusetts!
How have y’all been? I hope your summer treated y’all very well!
I am so thrilled to announce that I finally found a fall co-op! What is that? It is a cooperative education position. Here is the information, http://www.rit.edu/emcs/oce/students/intro-cooperative-education. Get it?
How did I find a co-op? Last summer, I never gave up on searching for a a co-op on the site usajobs.gov. Finding a co-op was competitive because many students from other universities across the nation really desired to get a co-op opportunity, too! Many times I did send my resume and cover letter to different companies that related to my field of study. Some of them were interested in setting up interviews with me. My advice to you is to always practice your interview skills before you get ready to meet in person or talk on the phone through video relay service. And if you’re not offered a co-op after your interview, don’t give up on your goal! Keep searching!
Finally, my dream landed with a co-op in government work. I got hired to work with the Department of Transportation Highway Division in Worcester, Massachusetts. See the picture.
Gracias / Thank you!
