Officially Carrie Underwood’s Sister

One of my hobbies is country line dancing. I truly love wearing my cowgirl boots when I can! I am excited to be registered for a wellness class in country line dancing for spring semester!

I can officially say that I am now country singer Carrie Underwood’s, SISTER! Just like Carrie Underwood had experienced in the past, I was thrilled to be initiated as a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma this past Sunday. There are many different sorority and fraternity opportunities on campus. This year, I decided to join the social sorority “Sigma Sigma Sigma” and a service co-ed fraternity “Alpha Phi Omega.” I love the leadership opportunities available through joining these two organizations. And I am thrilled with my new friends!
Below is a picture of me with my other newly initiated sisters. Since I have no biological sisters, this experience is a welcome gift!
Afterwards, I celebrated by going bowling with them at Bowl A Roll, near campus. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending when one of my sisters bowled a turkey (3 strikes in a row). I was extremely proud of her!

In the meantime, I do hope you get to have a REAL turkey this Thanksgiving, if that is one of your family’s traditions. Happy Pre-Thanksgiving!
One more anticipated joy of this coming weekend will be the reveal of my Big Sister (mentor). She has been extremely supportive as far as my academic goals, and AWESOME in the creation of surprises to tease me into trying to guess who she is! My ‘big’ also sent a card to my aunt, who just started chemo and radiation due to breast cancer, back at home. My Aunt was appreciative, and touched. I can’t wait to find out who my ‘big’ is, so I can give her a HUGE THANK YOU HUG!
