Application Deadline

Deaf or hard-of-hearing freshman applicants applying to bachelor-level programs.

Submit application (including essay and letter of recommendation), test scores, transcript and audiogram by November 15* (postmarked).

Interpreting Applicants

Submit application (including essay and letters of recommendation), test scores, transcript and ASL video sample by November 15* (postmarked).

Submit application (including essay and letter of recommendation), test scores, transcript and audiogram by January 15* (postmarked).

* You must submit your application and academic records by January 15 to be considered for the RIT Honors Program or an RIT Presidential Scholarship (merit based).

Spring or Summer Semester Admission

Application deadline – We encourage all applicants to apply and submit materials (transcript, test scores, audiogram, references) as soon as possible. All applications for transfer admission and all freshman applications for spring or summer semester entry, are reviewed on a "rolling" basis, with notification letters mailed four to six weeks after the application is complete. Admission into the ASL-English Interpretation program is limited to fall semester only. Start dates for the academic year can be found on the institute academic calendar
