From the time he was young, Barry Haywood always dreamed of becoming an American Sign Language instructor. He eventually fulfilled that dream by pursuing degrees in ASL and Sign Language Education.

Barry’s approach to teaching ASL embodies using technology to demonstrate to students what ASL fluency looks like.

In his spare time, he is involved in the Deaf community and enjoys fishing and spending time with his family and two boys.
