Description

    This course continues the development of American Sign Language skills (ASL) for students who have successfully completed ASL at Work 1A. Building on the skills developed in 1A, this course focuses on more of the ASL vocabulary, grammatical principles, and cultural protocols that students need in order to function at a basic level in both work and social conversations. Students learn to (1) talk about when activities occur, (2) make requests, (3) discuss the weather, and (4) discuss schedules and events. Class meets for four hours a week for nine weeks with additional time outside of class for completing course assignments.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of American Sign Language 1A or recommendation of ASL instructor
