Description

    This course continues the development of American Sign Language (ASL) skills for students who have successfully completed ASL at Work 1B. Building on the skills developed in 1A and 1B, this course focuses on completing the development of skills for ASL vocabulary, grammatical principles, and cultural protocols that are needed in order to function at a basic level in both work and social conversations. Students learn to (1) discuss health and how they feel, (2) describe their offices and the location of objects, (3) discuss recreation, hobbies and leisure activities, (4) discuss procedures, steps and processes, and (5) discuss shopping and spending money. Class meets for four hours a week for nine weeks with additional time outside of class for completing course assignments.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of American Sign Language 1B or recommendation of ASL instructor
