Structure of ASL #231

Description

    This course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge about the linguistic structure of American Sign Language (ASL). Through an introduction to language features, students will examine the phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse and pragmatics of ASL. Information regarding historical and cultural aspects of ASL is also introduced and discussed.

Prerequisite: Completion of ASL 1A, 1B, 1C, or SLPI of Intermediate or above, or recommendation of ASL instructor.
