Droids and Drones
Droids and Drones is a FREE summer program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students who will be entering grades 10 - 12 in fall 2017, who are in excellent academic standing and who are residents of the southeastern United States.*
If you are entering grade 10 – 12 in fall of 2017, RIT’s Droids and Drones summer program will help you explore a range of career options and opportunities in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and robotic technology. This information also can help you select a major as you begin to look at colleges.
Enrollment is limited to 40 students so apply today!
Date: June 18 – 23, 2017
Application Deadline: The deadline to apply is May 15, 2017.
Some of the things you will do:
Build your own drone to take home
Learn about various careers in UAV and robotics
Discover what types of careers fit your interests
Enjoy field trips to related facilities
Be part of hands-on demonstrations in robotic engineering, drone technology and aviation physics
Make new friends and have fun!

*Because of special funding and local sponsorship, Droids and Drones summer program for 2017 can only accept campers who are residents of the following states in the southeastern U.S.: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
