General Scholarship Funding

Established in 2011, the Benjamin J. Soukup Endowed Scholarship Fund at NTID provides academic scholarships annually to deaf and hard-of-hearing students at RIT/NTID.

Selection for this scholarship will be based on the recipient's enrollment as a full-time student in a degree program at RIT/NTID. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic and judicial standing. 

Established in 1991 by the members of the Women's Council of RIT to provide scholarship awards to deaf students enrolled in degree programs at RIT.

Established in 1991 through gifts from the family and friends of Michael A. Swartzman to provide scholarship awards to deaf students enrolled in degree programs at RIT.

Established in 1996 by Wilfrid and Isabel Searjeant with an initial gift that will be added to through an annuity upon their deaths. The scholarship awards will support deaf students enrolled at RIT.

Established in 1994 to support scholarship awards for deaf students enrolled at RIT through NTID.

Established in 1975 by the New York State Federation of Home Bureaus, Inc. to honor Mrs. Martha L. Perry of Holley, N.Y., a member of that organization for over 27 years. It was Mrs. Perry's specific request that this 35th scholarship of the federation be offered to RIT.

Established by NTID as a means of accumulating unrestricted earnings to support various institutional needs such as student scholarships.

Established in 2001 to support scholarship awards for first-year students enrolled in an undergraduate program at RIT/NTID.

Established in 1999 by Dr. James C. Marsters to benefit deaf or hard-of-hearing students enrolled at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Established in memory of Lucille Ritter Jennings, widow of Rochester attorney John Arthur Jennings, to further the education of deaf students at RIT.

Established in 1993 by Allen and Gloria Gopen to support scholarship awards for deaf students enrolled at RIT through NTID.

Established in 1995 by Mrs. Rose Feigenbaum to support scholarship awards for deaf students enrolled at RIT.

Established in 1983 by George R. and Theresa S. Barlow to support scholarship awards for students at NTID.
