NTID Technology & Information Services

NTID Technology & Information Services (TIS) is located on the second floor of the LBJ Building (60-2525). TIS staff evaluates, recommends and implements new technologies required by instructional, research or administrative functions. They devise the systems, structures, resources and procedures that support the production, storage and delivery of NTID's products and services. They also take the lead in reviewing and adapting new technologies for use by and for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

The NTID Learning Center (NLC)

The NTID Learning Center (NLC) is located on the second floor of the LBJ Building. The following resources are available to you and your students there:

  • Computer lab
  • Computer classroom
  • Areas for small classes and individual tutoring and studying
  • Area for testing and assessment
  • Video resource room

Educational Technology Resource Room

The Educational Technology Resource Room (ETRR) provides NTID faculty and staff with access to advanced technology tools, and electronic and print resources to support institutional goals in curriculum and instruction, research, public information, and classroom technologies. The ETRR is managed by Educational Design Resources (EDR) and exists to support faculty and staff development of new and innovative applications of technology in the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Individuals may request that new and innovative technologies be added to existing resources.

RIT Information and Technology Services

RIT Information and Technology Services provides a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the development and delivery of information and technology services to enable RIT to achieve its strategic objectives.
