CIAS Support Services » Programs in CIAS

The links below provide a description of each school within CIAS and its undergraduate programs as well as the requirements for entry. All students must be ready to enter the college-level English classes in their first quarter. English placement tests are administered during SVP and during RIT freshman orientations as well as throughout the school year.

All BFA degree-granting programs require an art portfolio showing excellence in, but not limited to, drawings done from life (figure drawing or still lifes) and evidence of compositional skill for any of the design and illustration programs.

All BS degree-granting programs require proficiency in math/statistics in order to be prepared to take college-level math courses.
