Welcome to the Department of Cultural and Creative Studies (DCCS). The department is comprised of a diverse and talented array of faculty and staff, and is responsible for providing general education instruction to students enrolled in AOS and other degree programs at NTID.

The department offers courses in the broad areas of social sciences, humanities and literature and serves as the home of the NTID Performing Arts and Deaf Studies programs. Courses in the social sciences, humanities and literature are required for students enrolled in AOS degree programs. In addition, courses in performing arts may be applied towards a certificate in performing arts or technical theatre. The department is also in the process of developing a certificate in Deaf Studies.
