Automation Technologies - Robotics Program Overview

TheAT Program will prepare you for a career in the applied robotics or semiconductor industries.

As an AT student, you’ll work with skilled and experienced faculty and learn to operate a wide range of automated equipment, and to install, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade and maintain automated systems and their components. You’ll train in a cross-disciplinary environment that includes the electrical/electronic, mechanical, and computer technologies highly valued in the industry today. State-of-the art equipment like custom pneumatic/hydraulic trainers, electro-mechanical devices, industrial robots and controllers, integrated automated systems, programmable logic controllers, and safety equipment will prepare you to work in a competitive environment. You’ll be able to perform computer simulations and complete assignments independently using specialized software.

With an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Automation Technologies-Robotics, you can enter the workforce directly after graduation or apply to other colleges at RIT to earn a bachelor's degree in such fields as nanotechnology, manufacturing engineering technology, or microelectronic engineering technology.
