You start with a two-year Associate of Science (AS) transfer degree program in Applied Computer Technology offered by RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. This program provides you with the courses and credits you need to transfer to and successfully complete a baccalaureate program in RIT’s College of Computing and Information Sciences. Upon completion of your AS program, you will transfer directly into RIT’s College of Computing and Information Sciences , where you can choose to complete a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Applied Networking and System Administration.
As a graduate of the 2+2 Information Technology Degree Program, you will be prepared for a variety of entry-level jobs in the computer support area including:
- Networking & System Administrator
- Web and Multimedia Content Developer
- Programming and Application Developer
- Wireless Data Networking Administrator
- Security Specialist
As a student in the 2+2 Information Technology program, you will be required to complete three quarters of cooperative (co-op) education prior to graduation. You may schedule your co-op after completing your second-year academic requirements.
