You start with an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) transfer degree program in Laboratory Science Technology offered by RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. This program provides you with courses and credits you need to transfer to and successfully complete a baccalaureate program in RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology.

Upon successful completion of your AAS program in LST with a GPA of 3.0, you will transfer directly to the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies within RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology, where you can pursue a bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts and Science with a concentration in Biotechnology Studies.
