DSES hires, trains, and monitors student notetakers who record information in classes and labs for deaf or hard-of-hearing students at RIT. Notetakers are actively recruited every quarter, and they are assigned based on having already completed the study of material similar to the content of the courses for which they are taking notes. Class notes are available online where students can access them.
