An Associate of Applied Science degree in Mobile Application Development will prepare you to work in the software development industry with a focus on application design and development for mobile platforms. Mobile Application Development is a field that brings concepts in programming, web development and interface design together. Using current and emerging technologies, you will learn relevant programming languages for application development on a variety of smart devices, develop skills in app design, and learn the policies and procedures for submitting apps for distribution.

Courses you will take cover multiple aspects of Internet, mobile-related technologies, including programming languages and web markup, server side technologies and tools, mobile web development, responsive design, and application optimization for mobile devices.

Although this degree is designed and intended to be a career-focused associate degree that prepares students for immediate entry into the workforce, qualified students can continue their education and enroll in RIT’s bachelor’s degree program in Web and Mobile Computing.
