Christine Monikowski, Ph.D., CSC, ASLTA Professional
Chris is an Associate Professor in the Department of ASL and
Interpreting Education at the National Technical Institute for the
Deaf/Rochester Institute of Technology. As a faculty member (1993 -
present) she teaches a variety of interpreting courses included
ASL/English Interpretation, Introduction to the Field, Discourse
Analysis, and Service Learning. She has been actively involved in online
learning since 1996, through various federal grants from the Department
of Education. Chris has published articles on interpreting and discourse
mapping. She is an RID certified interpreter and an ASLTA certified
teacher. She lives in Henrietta with her husband and enjoys bicycling
when the Rochester weather permits&and always looks forward to vacations
at the beach!
