Welcome to the National Sign Language Interpreting Project.
Still in its youth, the Project is aimed at improving access
to education by deaf and hard-of-hearing students, enhancing
interpreter education, and better understanding the cognitive
abilities underlying interpreting and its comprehension.
Our various research projects examine interactions among
the characteristics of students, interpreters, and settings.
