Criminal Justice
Why I chose my major:

My uncle and one of my deaf friends are police officers and they inspired me to work in law enforcement. I want to help people.

Why I chose RIT:
Because of the deaf-friendly community here in Rochester and the services that RIT/NTID provides for me. I feel like I fit in and belong here.
What I like best about RIT:

My favorite thing is the social interaction. It is very easy to make friends here because it’s such a friendly campus.

Best part of living on campus:

There is a lot of interaction with other people on your floor or in your building, so it’s easy to make friends when living in the dorms.

Dream job:
Police officer or corrections officer or something to do with the criminal justice system.
Favorite spot on campus:

RITZ Sports Zone

Favorite professor:
Professor Lengyel, because she tries hard to make science fun. She keeps the class very interactive, so it’s easy to learn and understand in a typically difficult class.
Favorite class:
Intro to Criminal Justice, because it is the stepping stone into the field of criminal justice, and we get to learn about death penalties, cops, crimes, charges and much more.
What excites me about RIT:

How close knit this campus is. I enjoy being here. I actually feel like I belong here and have a good support system.

My most memorable experience at RIT/NTID:
Brick City Homecoming Weekend. There were many events and it was a lot of fun. Also the Mud Tug event.
If I could tell prospective students only one thing about RIT/NTID, it would be:

This is a great school for a wide range of diversity groups and they work hard to make college an enjoyable but learning experience. RIT is such a great school.

Favorite place to eat in Rochester:
Jay's Diner
Favorite movie:
“Fast and Furious 6”
Fun fact about me:

I wear a size 18 shoe.

One thing I’ve always wanted to do but never have:
Travel outside the country.
The one thing I can't live without:
