Working Together: Deaf and Hearing People is an interactive, experiential workshop that fosters the sensitivity and skills for deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing colleagues to work together successfully, leading to increased productivity for all. This half-day workshop is for supervisors and co-workers, human resources personnel, and equal employment opportunity and affirmative action professionals and will cover these topics:
- Understanding Deafness and Deaf Employees
- Communication on the Job
- Strategies to Help You Integrate Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Employees Into the Workplace
- Accommodations for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Employees
- Participant fees: Group rate of $1,200 for up to 30 people, or $50 per participant.
- Host organization covers all travel expenses for the trainer(s), and interpreter fees, if applicable.
