Job Description for Coordinator of Residence Education

The Coordinator of Residence Education position is at the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf (SWCID).
 
Description of Job Duties:
 

  • Assume overall responsibility for SWCID housing areas. 
  • Supervise residential assistant staff.
  • Serve as primary judicial hearing officer for the SWCID Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. 
  • Coordinate workshops or general social activities in residence hall; coordinate and facilitate RA meetings. 
  • Provide security services/duties in the summer months. 
  • Required to live in residence hall.

Salary Range: 
 
$32,301- $35,607 (10.5 month term, room & board included, while cafeteria is serving)
 

Job Requirements for Coordinator of Residence Education

Experience and Other Qualifications Required:

  • Associates degree required; 5 years related experience preferred. 
  • Must be proficient in ASL and have effective communication skills. 
  • Must have the ability to operate fire alarm system, Video Phone, a personal computer and college vehicles, including vans. 
  • Experience with summer youth programs preferred. 
  • Must have and maintain a clear driving record and Texas driver’s license.
