Job Description
The Kennedy Center, through the Vilar Institute for Arts Management, offers fulltime, paid internships in performing arts management and arts education during fall, winter/spring, and summer semesters.
The programs of the Vilar Institute are rooted in the practical application of management skills within the context of administering programs and initiatives in an international arts institution. Through internships, participants examine the many roles and responsibilities of successful managers in today's complex world of performing arts administration. Placements may be offered in administration, advertising, marketing, press, development, education, programming, production, technology, and with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Eligible students with disabilities interested in pursuing a career in arts management and arts education administration are encouraged to apply. Those eligible to apply are college juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates (within two years of graduation). Students with disabilities may request accommodations and, if accepted into the program, the Kennedy Center's staff will work with the student to ensure that they can fully participate.
