Job Description: Learning Center Assistant (LCA):


Job Duties:

·        Maintain an environment in the NLC that is focused on learning through monitoring and enforcing established rules and procedures;

·        Support the needs and requests of NLC tutors regarding accessing NLC resources;

·        Support the operation of a multi-plat formed computer center within the context of a general learning center (providing hardware and software support and consultation to NLC users);

·        Ensure all NLC equipment is treated with proper care and is secure from theft;

·        Provide back-up clerical and logistical support as needed;

·        Required participation in ongoing training sessions;

·        Perform other related duties as assigned.




·        Fluency in sign language


·        Experience with PC and/or MAC operating environments

·        Experience in “customer service” regarding supporting the needs of clients

·        Experience supervising other students

·        Successful experience as a college student
