A Private College Education at a Public College Price
Because NTID was established by an Act of Congress in 1965, support for deaf and hard-of-hearing students at RIT is federally funded. And because of the federal funding, your student will receive a top-quality education at a substantially reduced tuition rate. Deaf and hard-of-hearing students attending RIT pay about one-third of the tuition that hearing RIT students pay.
A variety of additional options are available to you and your student, including scholarships and grants, loans, Vocational Rehabilitation support from your state, and Supplemental Social Security Income (SSI) assistance.
