James Meisser
Director and Chief Risk Officer
Lake Shore Wisconsin Corporation
James Meisser is Director and Chief Risk Officer of Lake Shore Wisconsin Corporation, a bank holding company headquartered in Glenwood, Wisconsin, that includes Hiawatha National Bank, of which Mr. Meisser is president and CEO.
He is the nation’s first profoundly deaf bank president and CEO.
Mr. Meisser worked for 25 years at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a commissioned examiner, senior examiner, financial analyst, capital markets specialist, and manager of the Chicago regional office information management group.
He helped found the Regional Chairman’s Diversity Advisory Committee and received the 2001 FDIC Chairman’s Excellence Award for his contributions to the development of a statistical model to monitor the health of financial institutions.
Mr. Meisser is director of the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Milwaukee and also works with the Outreach Program for Parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Sheboygan.
Mr. Meisser has a bachelor of business administration degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
