Sara Weiner-Collier is project coordinator of the Women with Disabilities Health Equity Coalition, Center of Excellence Women’s Health at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. In this role, she focuses on community health promotion among women with disabilities, improving their health care access with education and building coalition with providers as well as organizations. Previously she worked as a Public Health Prevention Service Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia, and at the Oregon Department of Human Services.

Mrs. Weiner-Collier has been a member of the National Association for City and County Health Officials Disability Workgroup, the American Public Health Association; the Oregon Public Health Association, Disability Section; and City of Portland-Portland Commission on Disabilities.

She served on the Oregon Bell Board of Directors of the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, is former president of Deaf Women United, Greater New York Chapter and is an ASL First Aid/CPR instructor at the American Red Cross, serving in the Portland and Salem area.

Mrs. Weiner-Collier received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Rochester Institute of Technology and master’s degrees in social work and in public health, both from Columbia University.
