The Fellowship Selection Process

The NTID Selection Committee reviews applications and evaluates applicants on:

  • Academic achievement
  • Clarity of career goals
  • Prior work experience
  • Community involvement
  • Leadership ability or potential.

There are two phases to the selection process.  Phase I involves document and credential review as well as reference checks.  If you qualify after this review and are selected as a Phase II candidate, you will receive a list of interview questions. You may respond in the format of your choice listed below:

You may come to the RIT campus for a personal interview with the Selection Committee. In this case, you would be responsible for your own travel expenses and accommodations.

- OR -

You may be invited to participate in a scheduled videoconference interview.

It doesn’t matter which of the above interview formats you participate in.  Both have equal weight in Phase II of the selection process. Applicants accepted for the fellowship will be notified by June 1.
