Prizes

The RIT National Science Fair awards the top three projects within each division as First Place, Second Place, and Third Place. One project, and only one project, receives each award -- there are no ties. In the case of awards given to a team project with two or more students, the award is divided equally among the students on the team. All winners receive a plaque in recognition of their achievements, and the top three places receive the following cash awards:

* Team members share the prize money.

Judges have reserved the right not to award all the prizes. Furthermore, the RNSF might have special awards for team projects, individual creativity, etc.

All teachers who are involved in guiding students with their science fair project will each receive a certificate of recognition.
