Program Overview

Campers, here's what you can expect:

• Enjoy fun activities that get you thinking about career options.
• Learn about technology—you’ll have hands-on experience working with robots, using lab equipment to do experiments, and more.
• Meet other students just like you who also are thinking about their future.
• Connect with friends who will stay in touch as you take your steps to success.
• Discover and explore your dream for the future.

At Steps to Success, you and your parents or guardians (YES, bring them, too!) can talk to other parents and families as well as RIT/NTID faculty and staff and learn about possibilities for your future.

Cost and Housing Information

For students

The cost for the weekend is $50* for students and includes housing, food and activities.

• You stay in a college residence hall, and share a room with one other camper.
• Your activities will be presented in both English and sign language.
• Certified camp counselors will lead daily activities.

For parents or guardians

The cost for the weekend for parents, guardians or other family members is $100 per person for two nights and includes housing in a college residence hall, food, activities and transportation to and from the airport, if needed. We encourage parents, guardians or other family members to stay in campus residence halls to be closer to the activities.

*Limited scholarships for camp are available based on financial need. To apply for a scholarship, have your parent or guardian complete the scholarship information on the registration form.
