Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing BS students

NTID-supported BS students will be scheduled for two NTID Support Service Orientation (NSSO) workshops during RIT’s Orientation program which begins Sunday, August 30, 2009. These workshops are designed to explain access and support services for NTID supported baccalaureate students.

The first NSSO workshop, scheduled for Monday (8/31) from 8 am - 9:15 am, will provide students and their families with the opportunity to meet with access and support faculty & staff as well as other deaf and hard of hearing baccalaureate students. General information about classroom access and support services will be shared.

A very important two-hour workshop, designed to teach students how to request access and support services, will also be scheduled. The exact day/time of your workshop will be printed on the schedule you will receive when you arrive. If you have any questions regarding the NSSO workshops, please call the SVP office at (585) 475-6800 (v/tty).

In order for us to be better prepared for your arrival, please complete the Language/Communication Background Questionnaire by June 1, 2009. You will need your 9-digit University ID to access this form online. Information about RIT's access and support services is also available online.

For all questions regarding all other orientation activities, visit the RIT Orientation Web site or call the RIT Orientation office at (585) 475-7995 (v/tty).

We look forward to meeting you!
