    Viet Q. Le has joined the faculty in NTID’s Science and Mathematics Department.

    Le earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Chemistry, and a doctorate in Chemistry, with an emphasis on Biochemistry, both from Wichita State University in Kansas. He was the recipient of the U.S. Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship 2007-2010.

    His research focuses on identifying the mechanism of cell death behind Parkinson’s disease. His scientific expertise is in various techniques involving mammalian cell culture, quantifying cellular update of various toxins, various cell viability assessments and live cell imaging and intracellular calcium and pH measurements, among others.
