SVP is a required Orientation program for "new" students. Successful completion and adherence to policies and regulations is a condition for acceptance to Fall quarter.
During SVP, the student will sample two to three majors over a three–day period (total of 10 hours). The student will also be assessed for English and math course placements for Fall. In addition to sampling and assessments, the student will also participate in co-curricular programming held in the evenings. These programs focus on college life and transitioning issues.
