As an alumna of RIT/NTID, not only do I enjoy but I feel it is my obligation to give back to the institute that prepared me for the successes and challenges in the real world. RIT/NTID has taught me so much and helped me grow as a successful professional. I love attending the men’s hockey games and continuously volunteer for various events on campus because I get to meet future alumni and encourage them to support the orange and brown! GO TIGERS!

Donna Tuffner, SVP ’88, ’94 and ‘13

Volunteering allows me to do something to show my appreciation to my alma mater. With many alumni living in the metro-Washington area, my goal is to see the NTID Metro DC Chapter flourish. I would love our local chapter to encourage other NTIDAA chapters nationally.

Fred Hartman, SVP '78, '82 and '84, Chapter Leader for Metro DC

I learned so much from my time as a student at NTID!  Now, as an alumna, I feel it's important to continue to be involved.

Volunteering has helped me be a part of something bigger than myself. It has helped me gain a better understanding of my abilities, and guided me to be a role model to the Deaf community and within the NTID Alumni Association.

Arlene Sankey, SVP ’86, ’89 and ’93, NTID Alumni Association Board member
