Job Description for Internships

The Pawtucket Red Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are currently in search of interns to begin work for the 2018 season.  These internships are designed to offer students studying any discipline the opportunity to garner significant marketing/sales, event management, customer service and public relations experience with a premier, Triple-A minor league baseball team.

For over 40 years, the Pawtucket Red Sox have established themselves at the upper echelon of national professional sports franchises. During difficult economic times the Pawtucket Red Sox were able to draw over 500,000 fans to McCoy Stadium and were one of the highest attended minor league baseball franchises in the country.  Qualified candidates, who receive the opportunity to intern with the ball club, are expected to accentuate and uphold the tremendous reputation upon which the Pawtucket Red Sox has been built.

  1. Clubhouse Internship (good for students in marketing, event mgt, and PR)
  2. Sales Internship - Intern may be working in the following areas:TICKET OPERATIONS, MERCHANDISING, EVENT MANAGEMENT, CUSTOMER SERVICE, ADMINISTRATION, GAME DAY STAFF/OPERATIONS, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, GROUP SALES

There are multiple starting dates for the internships.  We will look for a few interns to start in January and February.  We will look for others to start in March and April.  The positions begin no later than May 18th and lasts until the end of the season or until the individual candidate needs to return to school.  PawSox season runs from April 6th to September 5th.  Ideally interns are able to work for most of, if not the entire season.  PawSox will accept only a limited number of interns who are able to start in May and finish in August.   The Pawtucket Red Sox understand that school comes first for our student workers.  We make every effort to accommodate schoolwork requirements.
