LBJ-2591 Mary Karol Matchett earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from RIT, and went on to earn her master’s degree in social work from Syracuse University. She earned her doctorate in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College.
She volunteers for the Mark Seven Deaf Foundation, which operates a well-known camp site for deaf and hard-of-hearing young people and children of deaf parents in Old Forge, New York. She served on the Mark Seven Deaf Foundation board from 2001 through 2009.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading books, scrapbooking, skiing, golfing, pickleball, tennis, ping pong, shopping and family get-togethers. She and her husband, Doug, are both RIT alumni, and met through friends at RIT.
