Norma Morán obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Arts degree from American University (Washington, D.C.). Her career spans from the Peace Corps (Kenya) to the National Institutes of Health (Maryland) to Gallaudet University (Washington, D.C.) to Linguabee (virtual).

In 2018, Norma co-authored a toolkit for the Global Reading Network and USAID, “Universal Design for Learning to Help All Children Read: Promoting Literacy for Learners with Disabilities.” Norma has given numerous presentations for a wide variety of organizations and institutions. Today, she is an active member of Hands and Voices (a national advocacy organization for parents of deaf children), Latino Deaf Hard of Hearing Association of the Metropolitan DC (LDHHAMDC), and Kendall Parent Teacher Association (KPTA).
